Olmsted Falls - Police and fire investigators say a 56-year-old woman died in an early morning house fire on Brentwood Drive.
Rescue crews were called to the home in the 8200 block of Brentwood Drive at about 4:08AM for a report of a fire with a woman trapped inside.
Firefighters began attacking the flames and were able to get into the house.
At about 4:29AM, they found a woman in a second-story bedroom and took her to a local hospital, where she died of her injuries.
The victim has been identified at Lori Leigh Oberc-Hauck.
Fire Departments from Berea, Strongsville, Middleburgh Heights, North Olmted, Columbia Township and Brook Park helped the crews from Olmsted Falls and Olmsted Townships.
The Olmsted Falls Fire Department and the State Fire Marshal's office are investigating.
