Memorial Day Parades and Observances

US-MILITARY-MEMORIAL DAY-FLAGS

(Cleveland) – There are plenty of Memorial Day events going on all over Greater Cleveland today.

Avon Lake: Parade begins at 10 and ends at Veterans Memorial Park.

Bay Village: Parade begins at 8:45 from Huntington Park and goes west to Lakeview Cemetery.

Bedford:  Parade begins at 10:15 and goes from City Hall to Bedford Cemetery.

Berea:  Parade begins at 10:30 at Woodvale Cemetery and goes to Coe Lake Gazebo.

Brecksville: Parade starts at 10:30 at City Hall and ends at Highland Drive Cemetery.

Broadview Heights:  Parade starts at 9 and goes from Broadview at Royalton Roads to the Broadview Center.

Brunswick: parade begins at 10 at Visintainer School on Pearl Road, and ends at Westview Cemetery.

Cleveland: A public celebration at Lake View Cemetery begins at 10:30.

Elyria: Parade starts at town square in Downtown Elyria.

Euclid: The parade goes from Lakeshore and East 228th to City Hall on East 222nd

Fairview Park: Ceremonies at City Hall at 8 are followed by the parade from Lorain and West 208th to Fairview Park Cemetery.

Grafton: Parade begins at noon.

Independence:  Services begin at the Square at 9:30, followed by the parade.

Mentor: Parade (solemn processional) begins at Heinen’s parking lot at 9:30, goes east on Mentor Ave., north on Hopkins Road, to Mentor Cemetery.

Middleburg Heights: Services at 9 at Woodvale Cemetery.

North Ridgeville: Parade begins at 9:45 at Marc’s on Center Ridge, and ends at the Middle School Stadium.

Painesville: Parade Begins at 10 at Riverside Cemetery.

Richmond Heights: Ceremonies begin at 10 at the Community Park Veteran’s Memorial

Shaker Heights:  Ceremonies begin at 9 at City Hall, followed by the parade down Van Aken to Thornton Park.

Strongsville: No parade due to Pearl Road resurfacing, but a service will take place at 11 at the Freedom Trail Gazebo.

Westfield Center: Parade begins at 11, and goes from North Leroy Park to the cemetery on Greenwich Road.

University Heights: Parade begins at 11am at Silsby and Allison, east on Silsby, south on Belvoir, and ends at the steps of the John Carroll University Natatorium.  

Wickliffe: Parade starts at 10 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church on Euclid Ave, then down Bishop Road, ending at City Hall.

Willoughby: Parade starts at 9:30 in downtown Willoughby, and ends at Willoughby Cemetery on Sharpe Ave.
