(ELYRIA) - Elyria High School students are being sent home early after the school was put on lockdown this afternoon. Parents are being asked to pick up their children at the near-by Mr. Hero.
District officials say someone called in a threat to 911, but no one was hurt and there is no indication that the threat is credible. The district says police are taking it seriously, though, and the school will be on lockdown until the investigation is finished.
They also said that social media rumors about someone being seen on campus with a weapon, or that shots were fired, were not true.
