The Metroparks water taxi is sailing again

(Cleveland) - Metroparks water taxi service begins today, once again you can sail across the Cuyahoga River between the East and West Banks. 

Water Taxi and Marine Operations Manager Captain Michael Bobincheck says its their second year providing the service. 

Last year 31,000 people traveled across the river and more are expected to do so in 2017. 

You can board the water taxi for $2 under the Main Avenue Bridge, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sunday. The $2 ticket is good all day. 

The water taxi can accommodate bikes, wheelchairs and pets. On Tuesday, Wednesdays, and Thursday, the taxi is offering Cuyahoga River tours, for 2 hours or 30 minutes, with boarding at Merwin's Wharf.
