(AVON) - A shooting suspect is under arrest and another man is in the hospital after a confrontation Thursday morning outside a business in Avon led to a shooting. Police say it started around 8:30am at TechniFab on Chester Industrial Parkway. Shortly after, a second call came in indicating that there was a car crash accident at the area of Colorado Ave and Carleen Ave.
Police now say the victim of the shooting, who was an employee of TechniFab, got in his car after being shot and was chased down again by the suspect. The suspect crashed his car, and was injured; he was taken to the hospital and placed under arrest.
The motive for the shooting is still under investigation, and it's not yet clear if the suspect also worked at TechniFab. The victim was shot in the upper back and was conscious and breathing when he was taken to the hospital. No names have been released.
