CLEVELAND, OH - A mega-company is closing dozens of stores. Payless Shoeshource has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The company says it's now restructuring with a focus on global growth and expanding online.
But 400 of its 4,400 stores worldwide will close immediately. There are 17 stores in Northeast Ohio alone from Parma to Euclid to Cuyahoga Falls.
The company says it will announce which stores will close later this week after employees are informed.
