Cleveland - A 24 year old man is dead and an alleged gunman hospitalized after a shooting outside the M & M Saloon on Lorain Avenue early Saturday morning.
Police say an off-duty police officer from Amsterdam, Ohio was working security at the bar early Saturday morning, when he heard gunshots outside.
He found 24-year-old Derrick Yanetta lying on the sidewalk, and saw another man fleeing the area.
That's when the officer chased 26 year old Dominique Williams, and the two exchanged gunfire.
Police say Williams continued to run, but was caught a short time later.
He was taken to Fairview General Hospital with a gunshot wound to the buttocks.
The Cleveland Police Homicide Unit, Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner, and Use of Deadly Force Unit are all investigating.
