(Niles, Ohio) – a 32-year-old man is in the Trumbull County Jail in Warren, and is due in court on Tuesday to face a charge of murdering his five-week-old daughter.
Matthew Wilson was arrested Saturday, after a 10-day investigation into the death of Aubrianna Wilson.
Niles police and EMS were called out to the Wilson family home on February 10 on a report of a baby with a heart condition. They took Aubrianna to Akron Children’s Hospital. The hospital told police the next day that signs were consistent with the baby possibly being abused.
Wilson’s father, Charles, told Youngstown’s 27 First News that it was an accident, saying his son told him over the phone from jail that he tripped over a toy and fell onto the baby.
