(Cleveland) - The man accused of killing 14-year-old Alianna DeFreeze was arraigned in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court.
Forty-four year old Christopher Whitaker appeared by video from the Cuyahoga County Jail. At a previous court appearance his bond was set at $3 million, but today, Judge Pamela Barker made it certain, that Whitaker will stay behind bars., by revoking any bond for the suspect.
Whitaker now has a pretrial appearance set for February 22nd, and will be represented by defense attorney's Fernando Mack and Thomas Shaughnessy.
His case will be handled by Judge Carolyn Friedland. Whitaker is charged with aggravated murder, rape, kidnapping, aggravated burglary, abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence.
The prosecution says it will seek the death penalty.
