The Cleveland Indians had the third lowest attendance in all of baseball with a total of 1,591,667 fans over the span of 81 regular season home games in 2016.
Not only does this equate to approximately 19,650 people per contest, but it left nearly 45% of the Progressive Field seats empty throughout the year.
With the signings of Edwin Encarnacion and Boone Logan in mind, the franchise has high hopes these attendance figures will boost to substantially higher levels in 2017.
