(CLEVELAND) - The Cleveland Cavaliers will sport Goodyear logos on their uniforms next season, as part of a first-time effort by the NBA to sell sponsorships of jersey patches.  The deal, which was first reported by Bloomberg, has not been publicly disclosed by either the team or Goodyear.  The Cavs, when reached by WTAM, declined to comment or confirm the deal.

According to sources familiar with previously announced deals, the sponsorship is probably worth between $5 and $10 million dollars per year.  LeBron James shares a hometown with the Akron tiremaker.

The logo will appear on the uniform beginning next season as part of a three-year pilot program.
