(Cuyahoga County) - Lakewood Police are investigating the death of a 36 year old woman. Officers found the victim in a bed, in the basement of a home on Plover Street, just before 9 this morning.
Lakewood Police Captain Ed Hassing says dispatch received a call from a man reporting that his his 38 year old son, had shot his 36 year old wife.
Hassing tells Newsradio WTAM 1100, Lakewood police and fire units were sent to the home, and upon arrival the suspect, surrendered to officers.
Hassing says officers entered the home and found the body of the suspect’s wife. The body was transported to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s office, and the suspect was transported to Lakewood City Jail.
Hassing explains detectives are trying to determine a motive for the crime, as the investigation is continuing.
