The finalists for the Associated Press Most Valuable Player and other NFL awards were revealed on Thursday (January 23) via NFL.com.

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff and Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson were determined as the five players in contention for the MVP through the Associated Press' voting system. Jackson, who won the award for a second time last year, and Allen were long projected as the two favorites prior to the Bills defeating the Ravens in their AFC Divisional Round matchup on Sunday (January 19).

Barkley became the ninth running back in NFL history to record more than 2,000 yards in a single-season, finishing just 100 yards shy of Eric Dickerson's record of 2,105 after the Eagles rested him for their final regular season game. The winners will be announced at the annual NFL Honors event airing live on FOX, NFL Network and NFL+ from the Saenger Theater in New Orleans on February 6 at 9:00 p.m. ET.
