This week’s Featured Furry Friend is a very special dog named Columbo! Columbo is about 7 years old and came to the APL back in January. He was brought in by the Humane Investigations team after being found tethered to a pole in a backyard. Columbo was in a very visibly, emaciated state and weighed just 26 pounds (He weighs about 70 pounds now).He couldn’t stand up or walk.After treatment in the intensive care unit at the APL’s clinic and lots of time and love to heal Columbo has come out the other side a smart, sweet and loving dog! He loves to go on walks, play in the yard and has never met a person he doesn’t love! He knows his basic commands and is eager to get all the pets he can!
