The Cleveland Guardians scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth during a 4-3 win over the Minnesota Twins at Progressive Field. The Twins scored three runs in the top of the third thanks to a two-run single by Byron Buxton, but Kyle Manzardo hit a two-run homer in the eighth to give Cleveland the lead for good. Andrew Walters picked up his first win in relief, while Emmanuel Clase [[ clas-AY ]] earned his 46th save. Cleveland has a five-game lead in the AL Central. Griffin Jax was charged with his fifth loss in relief. The Twins have just a one-and-a-half game lead over Detroit for the final AL Wild Card spot at 79-and-71.
