Cavs Hope Youth Equals Fun

Fallout from the Cavs trade deadline deals have the team getting much younger. The Cavs traded 6 players whose average age is 30 years old and in return they receive 4 players whose average age is 27 years old.  Jordan Clarkson, Larry Nance Jr., and Rodney Hood are each 25 years old. GM Koby Altman is hoping the youth and athleticism will be bringing a fun mentality to the team. It has been a team playing with a frown for weeks.

Here are my thoughts on the Cavs new additions.

Clarkson: Can play the 1 or 2. Will probably come off the bench. He can bring instant offense.

Nance Jr:  Like his Dad,  a pro’s pro. He will be solid at Power forward. Excellent fundamentals.

Hood:  Altman is thrilled about his upside. Left-handed player. Key is to stay healthy.

Hill:  Likely starting point guard. Has played big games in San Antonio and Indiana. Excellent 3 point shooter.
