CLEVELAND, OH -- In the second game of a traditional doubleheader, the tribe got on the board early and often, as they were looking at a b7-0 lead in the second inning. Trevor Bauer had a phenomenal outing, as he was greeted by a standing ovation from the hometown crowd on his way to the bench. The Cleveland Indians bullpen had a complete implosion in the 9th inning, giving up 5 runs in the top of the ninth inning, including a go-ahead 2-run double off of the bat of Ronald Acuna Jr.

Trevor Bauer finished his outing pitching 6.1 innings, giving up 2 earned runs on just 3 hits, striking out 10 batters along the way. Adam Cimber was hit with the loss, as he was unable to find a rhythm on the bump, giving up 4 earned runs on only two outs. Tribe lefty Tyler Olson walked Freddie Freeman with the bases loaded to bring the Braves deficit to only 1. Cody Anderson came out to relieve Olson, and gave up the final blow that put the Braves ahead.

The Cleveland Indians will take on the Atlanta Braves in the rubber match of the series on Sunday evening. Shane Bieber will get the start for the tribe, Max Fried gets the nod for the Atlanta Braves. First pitch is set for 7:08 PM ET at beautiful Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio.
