Reds Hold Off Indians, 7-5

(Cleveland, OH)  --  Scott Schebler's two-run homer in the ninth inning proved to be the difference as the Reds held off the Indians 7-5 in Cleveland.  Schebler had four hits and three RBI, while Joe Votto also went deep for Cincinnati, which snapped a two-game skid.

Anthony DeSclafani fired seven innings of one-run ball for the win.  After Cleveland scored four runs in the ninth, Raisel Iglesias came in and recorded the final two outs for his 18th save.

Jason Kipnis hit a two-run homer during the four-run ninth for the Tribe, which has dropped three in-a-row on the heels of a five-game winning streak.  Mike Clevinger suffered the loss.

Game two of the three-game series with the Reds is Tuesday night.  Trevor Bauer starts for the Tribe, and Sal Romano for Cincinnati.  First pitch from Progressive Field at 7:10 p.m. on WTAM 1100 and 100.7 WMMS.
