WATCH VIDEO! Armond Budish Won't Seek Re-Election As County Exec

A bit of a surprising announcement made today by Cuyahoga County Executive Armond Budish. The two term County Exec announced he will not seek a third term in office. The 68 year old Budish has fourteen months left in his term and plans to devote more time to his family.

Two candidates, who previously jumped into the race before Budish's announcement, include Chris Ronayne, former Cleveland Planning Director, former Chief of Staff to former Cleveland Mayor Jane Campbell and former President of University Circle Inc.

Ronayne was the sole Democrat to enter the race opposite Lee Weingart, a Republican who previously served as a Cuyahoga County Commissioner. WATCH VIDEO of Budish Announcement.
