Gun sales across America were up by 80-percent in May compared to May, 2019. The lock-down due to the coronavirus pandemic spurred the dramatic jump in sales of firearms after fear was stoked across the country.
Gun sales are expected to surge even higher this month following the riots across the country brought on by the George Floyd killing while in the custody of the Minneapolis Police Department 8 days ago.
It is estimated that more than 1.7 million guns were sold across the country last month. Texas led the way in gun sales with a little over 179,000 guns sold. Ohio saw 69,700 guns sold.
