The numbers of confirmed coronavirus cases and deaths, as a result of the virus, continue to move upward on a daily basis.
Governor Mike DeWine and Ohio Department of Health Director Dr. Amy Acton confirmed Tuesday that 2,199 people have contracted COVID-19 in Ohio with 55 people dying from the virus.
Six of those who have lost their lives resided in Cuyahoga County. Five hundred eighty five people have been hospitalized with coronavirus throughout Ohio while intensive care admissions total 198.
The Governor, Monday, extended the school closure statewide until May 1 in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19.
