The Cleveland Indians have announced a two year contract extension with Manager Terry Francona which keeps him with the club through the 2022 season..
The fifty-nine year old Francona is in his seventh season with the Tribe and has led the team to four playoff appearances in six full seasons, including a World Series appearance in 2016.
Francona has a record of 547-427 with the Tribe since 2013, the best record in the American League.
He is the owner of two world series rings while previously the skipper of the Boston Red Sox.
