A courtroom blow for porn star Stormy Daniels. A federal judge has dismissed her lawsuit claiming President Trump defamed her when he suggested she lied about being threatened to keep quiet about an alleged relationship they had years ago.
U.S. District Judge S. James Otero ruled Trump's speech was protected by the First Amendment as the kind of 'rhetorical hyperbole' which is often associated with politics in the U.S. Daniels has also been ordered to pay Trump's legal fees.
Daniels' attorney Michael Avenatti called the ruling 'limited' and said it does not affect Daniel's primary case against the President and his former attorney Michael Cohen which seeks to invalidate a 2016 non-disclosure agreement.
