Nike is drawing the ire of some folks after announcing that former San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick is being featured in a new ad promoting Nike's 30th anniversary of the 'Just Do It' advertising campaign.
Kaepernick has been out of the NFL since 2016. He became a divisive figure after kneeling during the National Anthem before games to protest racial injustice and racial inequality.
Kaepernick's actions sparked a league wide movement which stirred up controversy. Nike's stock dropped over two percent in early trading after the campaign which included Kaepernick was announced.
