(Cleveland) - Cleveland Browns Wide-Receiver Josh Gordon apparently had some personal issues before he decided to skip the start of training camp with the team last month in Berea.
It's believed Gordon has been involved in a lengthy child custody dispute ahead of the start of camp. Gordon and the mother of his three year old daughter were reportedly in court last July where a Cuyahoga County Judge issued a temporary order requiring Gordon to make monthly child support payments of $6,765 starting Aug. 1.
Court records also indicate the mother of the child threatened to air sensitive information to the public to embarrass Gordon.
Gordon made so little money during his time suspended from the team that he didn't file tax returns for 2015 and 2016. Gordon is expected to return in time for the Browns season opener September 9 against Pittsburgh and resume collecting his $800,000 salary.
