With A Crowded Field, Democrats Are Fighting For Attention

Presidential primary elections are still ten months away, but that is not stopping the participants in a very crowded Democratic field from trying to distinguish themselves from the pack. New names like Pete Buttigieg, Tulsi Gabbard, and Beto O'Rourke are joining Democratic stalwarts like Bernie Sanders, Cory Booker, and Elizabeth Warren.

With so many candidates in the field, the ways each person is trying to distinguish themselves are as diverse as the candidates themselves.

In the case of former Texas Congressman, Beto O'Rourke it's talking about one of the issues near and dear to the left.

South Bend Mayor, Pete Buttigieg is using youthful energy combined with a more moderate platform to try to stick out in political party that has been dominated by people twice his age.

However, with age does come experience. Bernie Sanders has already had an opportunity to test out his ideas in the 2016 Presidential Election. Thing will be different in 2020 as Sanders is no longer a fringe candidate with fringe ideas. His ideas on "Medicare for all" have moved from College Campuses and spread across the country, with most Americans embracing a universal healthcare system.

As the new frontrunner, Sanders has had to come up with a new way to separate himself from the pack. The Vermont Senator recently appeared on a Fox News town hall in an attempt to change some minds on the other side of the isle.
