Auto Related Crimes Drastically Drop in Downtown Cleveland  

  • The 3rd district police have focused significant resources and energy to decrease the number of car thefts and break-ins Downtown  
  • Through continued efforts of both the Cleveland Division of Police and DCA, there has been a 66% decrease in auto thefts, 27% decrease in robberies, and a 60% decrease in general downtown crimes from Dec 2022 to March 2023 
  • DCA continues to convene law enforcement, public safety entities, and downtown stakeholders to advocate for and implement downtown safety initiatives  

 

Free Take a Hike Tours Return June 1st 

  • Explore Downtown Cleveland with 2023 season of self-guided and tour guide led hikes 
  • Take a Hike, presented by the Historic Gateway Neighborhood Corporation in partnership with the Downtown Cleveland Alliance, offers free tours of unique and historic neighborhoods in Cleveland!  
  • Guided tours begin June 1st and continue through September 30th 
  • Pre-registration is recommended as space is limited 

 

Juneteenth Returns 

  • Metrohealth Cleveland Juneteenth Freedom Fest Returns for an Expanded two-day event June 16th and 17th  
  • This Festival is a commemoration to the ending of slavery on June 19, 1865, the MetroHealth Cleveland Juneteenth Freedom Fest will spotlight the rich historical presence of African American arts and culture in Cleveland.   
  • Featured are live music performances, live visual artists, fireworks show, and educational workshops 
  • Join us on Mall C for this free, family-friendly event with vendors, food trucks, entertainment, and more!
