Dennis Manoloff has been in Cleveland sports media for more than 30 years. He was a sportswriter for The Plain Dealer from 1990 to 2019 and has been a talk-show host on Newsradio WTAM 1100 since 2018. The shows focus on sports but will include politics and current events.

Dennis has been a voiceover artist since 2019. His work includes a variety of local radio and TV commercials.

Dennis has won dozens of journalism awards and, in 2001, wrote a 25-piece "Talkin’ Baseball'' series that ran weekly during the season. It was nominated by the paper for a Pulitzer Prize in explanatory journalism. Later that year, he was on the sideline as a reporter and struck by multiple bottles during the “Bottlegate” game between the Browns and Jaguars at Cleveland Browns Stadium.

Dennis is the author of two books: Omar Vizquel, The Man with the Golden Glove, and, From Andrews to Zastudil. He coached former NFL punter Dave Zastudil, a Bay High graduate, in baseball.

In 1998, Dennis attempted to break the Guinness world record for most bowling pins knocked down in 24 hours. He fell woefully short but still managed 29,000 in 12 hours while raising several hundred dollars for charity.

Dennis’ hobbies include reading and studying the American Civil War and Revolutionary War.

Dennis, father to Grace, lives in North Royalton with his wife, Denise; stepson, Garrett; and dog, King. Denise is publisher of Cleveland Magazine. Grace is a student-athlete at Bay Village High School. Kingy is the toughest little dog in America.

Dennis was born and raised in Northeast Ohio. He graduated from Bay High School (Class of 1985; National Honor Society) and Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism (Class of 1989; 3.51 GPA). His older brother, Rick, was a longtime private-practice attorney in Cleveland and is the Cuyahoga County law director. Rick graduated from Princeton undergrad and Yale Law. Dennis’ younger brother, Brett, is a retired Massachusetts school teacher and currently coaches tennis at a club on the East Coast.
