Patty Starr is President and CEO of Health Action Council and is responsible for driving the strategic direction of the organization, which is focused on building stronger, healthier communities where business can thrive.
Since becoming Executive Director in 2013, Starr has transformed Health Action Council, yielding five consecutive years of growth and national expansion, with a 95 percent retention rate.
She is a member of the boards of directors of the Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine and the Health Policy Institute of Ohio. In 2018, she was named among Notable Women in Healthcare by Crain’s Cleveland Business.
Before joining Health Action Council, Starr was the Senior Director, Health Insurance and Benefits, of the Council of Small Enterprises and was President and Founder of The Ark Individual Insurance Brokerage.
She holds an accident, health and life insurance license and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Cleveland State University.
