Thomas P. Royer, MPA, has been Beech Brook’s president/chief executive officer since November of 2017.
For Tom, Beech Brook has always been more than just a place to work. Caring for Beech Brook kids has been a multi-generational mission for the Royer family, beginning with his grandparents, who served as houseparents on the campus in the 1950’s, and continuing through the generations that followed.
Tom brings a wide range of experience designing and managing community-based mental health, social service, prevention and early intervention programs to his role as president/CEO. He has served the organization in many capacities since joining the staff in 1991, beginning in direct service positions in the school-based program and moving up through a number of leadership roles. Before assuming his current role, he oversaw all programs and services and represented Beech Brook externally with many groups.
Tom earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Ohio University and received his Master of Public Administration from Cleveland State University.
