On if he was able to shake off some rust during his first appearance of the 2022 season last week:

“That was fun. Good to be out there, flying around and tackling. It was good.”

On his performance last week:

“Of course like normal stuff. A couple of MEs (mental errors), but it is only up from here. Just keep growing, keep climbing, keep learning the defense and keep gelling with these guys.”

On likely having a larger role in the Browns defense following LB Jacob Phillips’ injury:

“That is a big loss for us. Like I said, just constantly on the grind, getting in the playbook, learning all I can learn and like I said, pick up from where he left off.”

On if it makes a difference to the defense when teams run more shotgun formations compared to being under center:

“I don’t think so.”

On Bengals QB Joe Burrow:

“Joe is Joe. Makes good passes. He can extend it. Makes good decisions. He knows where all of his guys are. He is going to play well as always.”

On the Bengals’ vertical passing game:

“They have been working together for a minute. They have great communication. They have great chemistry. I just think that fed off, it leaped into the league and they have been doing great with it.”
