Under a threat that they could lose federal funding if they do not comply with new orders from the Trump administration, the Akron Public Schools district is reviewing all policies and programs concerning DEI.
Public K through 12 schools have been notified that they must eliminate all race-based decisions or risk the loss of federal funds.
APS says they are working to ensure they fully understand and implement the required changes.
