PARMA, Ohio — After 25 years in Parma, Hot Dog Diner & Burger Co. will close its location in Parma this weekend.

Hot Dog Diner announced on Facebook that its last day in business at its location at 5494 Pearl Road will be Saturday, Feb. 8.

The family-owned fast food joint plans to move to a new location on Cleveland’s West Side, which it will announce at a later date. It’s not clear if it will remain in Parma.

Your patronage has meant the world to us, and we can’t thank you enough for being part of our journey,” the Facebook post reads. “While this chapter is coming to a close, we look forward to welcoming you to our new home soon.”

Hot Dog Diner will be open this week from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday through Saturday before it closes for a break. The restaurant is known for its affordable menu with customizable burgers, hot dogs, tater tots and more.

Original owners Dave and Natalie Teare sold the business to a family member in 2023. Hot Dog Diner was previously located on Brookpark Road when it was established in 2005. It later moved to the longtime location on Pearl Road, which was formerly a Taco Bell.

Hot Dog Diner won cleveland.com’s Best Hot Dog competition in 2016 and 2022.
