A man was fatally shot in his garage in north Harris County, Texas, on Halloween night, and authorities are now seeking a person seen in the area wearing a Michael Myers mask. The incident occurred in the 1300 block of Hawks Nest Drive between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. The victim, who had been shot multiple times, did not survive his injuries. Other family members were in the home at the time of the shooting, but no one else was hurt.

According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, some neighbors reported seeing someone in a Halloween mask, possibly a Michael Myers mask, in the area at the time of the shooting. However, authorities say they don’t know if that person was actually involved.

“Someone of that description was seen in the area during the shooting. Again, we’re reviewing video, processing the scene, and interviewing witnesses to gather as much evidence as we can,” HCSO Homicide Sgt. Michael Ritchie said.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
