Guardians Beat Royals 4-2 On Strong Pitching From Gavin Williams

The Guardians edged the Royals 4-2 in their series opener from Kansas City. Gavin Williams earned the win after giving up a run on one hit over seven innings. Josh Naylor and Lane Thomas slugged two-run homers as Cleveland has won four of its last five games to remain first in the AL Central at 79-and-59. The Guardians continue the series tonight.
