UPDATE: This statement was issued Wednesday morning by Fairview Park Chief of Police Paul Shepard:
Around 9:00 a.m. Lydia Tremp, the owner of Rudy’s Strudel on Ridge Road in Parma, Ohio was driving to work on W.117 St. near Linnet Ave. in Cleveland, when she saw Lonnie walking on W. 117 St. She recognized him from social media posts, turned around and talked to him near Cleveland Fire Station 33. Tremp confirmed the boy was Lonnie and along with firefighters from Station 33 offered him help. Lonnie declined help and walked away. Tremp and the firefighters notified Fairview Park and Cleveland Police who went to the area.
Lonnie was quickly located by Officer Carabello and Officer Jones in Unit 1B14 of the Cleveland Police Department near the intersection of W.118 St. and Lorain Ave. They held on to him until he was turned over to members of the Fairview Park Police Department. Lonnie was taken back to the Fairview Park Police Department where he was reunited with his family.
We would like to thank Mrs. Tremp, members of CFD Station 33, Officer Carabello and Officer Jones for their quick actions and assistance in finding Lonnie.

(Fairview Park) - Fairview Park Police are asking people to look out for 16-year-old Lonnie Coe, who left his home Monday, July 8 after getting into an argument with family members. He was last seen walking along West 220 toward Lorain Road.
Lonnie is a white male, 5'7", 130 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes. Lonnie was last seen wearing a red shirt, maroon shorts, and black high-top tennis shoes.
His family says Lonnie is very trusting of people and has difficulty telling if someone is good or bad. He believes everyone is friendly. There is no reason to believe Lonnie is in danger, but Fairview Park Police and Lonnie's family want to find him safe.
Anyone with information can call Fairview Park Police at 440-333-1234.
