A new grocery market in San Francisco will let shoppers fill up their carts for free.
The District 10 Community Market offers free food to low-income residents who receive food assistance such as SNAP and meet certain criteria.
Officials say the market is designed to help people keep food on the table when SNAP benefits run out at the end of the month.
The project will cost taxpayers roughly $5 million.
