Cicadas Emerging Earlier Due To Climate Change Scientists Say

Cicada season is here - and it's getting an early start, thanks to climate change.

Scientists say rising global temperatures means spring conditions arrive earlier - which messes with the cicadas' internal clocks.

As a result, they're emerging about 10-14 days earlier than usual in many regions.

This year marks the rare emergence of two major cicada broods, Brood XIII and Brood XIX, in parts of the South and Midwest.
