(Cleveland) The Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Clinic, and Bedrock Real Estate unveiled design renderings for the Cleveland Clinic Global Peak Performance Center that is to be built along the Cuyahoga River. The facility will not only provide a practice and training facility for the Cavaliers, but also provide all aspects of proper care and training for local athletes as well. At 210,000 square feet the Center will be one of the largest training facilities in the world. Global firm Populous Studio worked with the Cavaliers and Bedrock on design working off three principals: embracing the river, creating a local icon, and elevating the athlete's experience. The facility will be open to the public and treat athletes of all ages and skill levels. It's hoped that pending approval, that ground can be broken on the project before the end of the year.
