The Cleveland Metropolitan School District says schools will be closed on April 8th for the solar eclipse.
The district says the eclipse is a once-in-a-lifetime event and that there is expected to be a large influx of visitors in the area for the eclipse.
Also, the totality of the eclipse is expected to happen right when school is dismissed.
Authorities have warned residents about possible cell phone outages and have urged residents across the path of the eclipse to stock up on fuel and food and to stay home to view the eclipse.
