(Brook Park) This is an update on a story we first shared with you last year, about the British company Blue Abyss and it's plans to construct a multi-million-dollar state-of-the-art astronaut training facility in Brook Park. Blue Abyss has announced that it has completed the purchase of a dozen acres of property near Hopkins Airport and the Nasa Glenn Research Center. The facility will include a giant pool along with a hotel. Construction is expected to begin the second half of 2024 and take about 18 months to complete. Blue Abyss CEO said in a statement that the facility will stand as a beacon of innovation and will foster economic and job creation. The company says that it's new facility will either create or support 3900 jobs over the next five years.
