Man Stripped Of Right To Vote After Posting Candidate’s Phone Number Online

Two years after he posted a candidate’s phone number on Craigslist, a New Hampshire man has lost his right to vote.

The sentence – handed down this week to 30-year-old Merrimack resident Michael Drouin – comes after he pleaded guilty to posting a fake Craigslist ad for a free trailer with House candidate Bill Boyd’s phone number. Boyd says he received so many calls and texts that he had to get a new number.

Drouin has maintained the ad was just a “joke” and he “meant no harm
