The Guardians salvaged their series against the Rockies after a 4-1 win in Cleveland. Tanner Bibee won his debut start after surrendering one run while striking out eight batters over five-plus innings. Josh Naylor crushed a two-run homer in the first inning while Oscar Gonzalez went two-for-three with an RBI. Cleveland improved to 12-and-13 and is second in the AL Central. The team opens a three-game series against the Red Sox in Boston tomorrow.
