Italian Police Find 2 Tons Of Cocaine Floating In Ocean

In what’s being called the biggest drug bust in the country’s history, Italian police have seized two tons of cocaine – which they found floating in the ocean off the coast of eastern Sicily.

The coke was wrapped in 70 plastic bundles that were strung together with netting, police say. Investigators believe the coke had been dumped by a cargo ship for another vessel to retrieve.

The street value of the cocaine: more than $437 million, police say.
