FAIRVIEW PARK - Just before 7:30 in the morning on March 1st. A man entered the Burger King at 22740 Lorain Road wearing a winter coat with his face covered by a black mask. He produced a handgun and forced an employee to give him the contents of the restaurant’s safe. After receiving the money, he fled on foot and ran north on W. 227 St.
No employees were hurt. Fairview Park Police Officers responded and began investigating. Officers found evidence during the initial investigation and searched the area for witnesses. Officers learned the subject ran to a blue Chevrolet Tahoe parked on W.227 St and drove away northbound.
With information gained from the North Olmsted Police Flock Camera system, video surveillance, and eyewitnesses, the Fairview Park Police Detective Bureau developed the identity of a person of interest. Our preliminary investigation found evidence that our robber may have been involved in at least three similar robberies in Cleveland recently.
Over the last few weeks, Fairview Park Detectives worked with members of the Cleveland Police Department, Rocky River Police Department, Westshore Enforcement Bureau Narcotics Task Force, and the U.S. Secret Service to gather evidence that gave us probable cause for an Aggravated Robbery arrest warrant for 29-year-old Jerrine Lamar Hannah of Cleveland, Ohio.
This morning with the help of The Westshore Enforcement Bureau SWAT team, Cleveland Police Department, Rocky River Police Department, Westshore Enforcement Bureau Narcotics Task Force, and the U.S. Secret Service, the Fairview Park Police Department arrested Hannah on the warrant. He will remain in custody until he appears in Rocky River Municipal Court.
