CLEVELAND - Utilizing two federal awards through BIG (Boating Infrastructures Grant), the Cleveland Metroparks have constructed six day-use boat slips in Rivergate Park next to Merwins' Wharf and twelve day-use boat slips in Heritage Park. The Heritage Park docks are located near Fagan's restaurant where Settler's Landing cabin used to be across from the river from Jacobs Pavilion. The new boat slips will be the only publicly accessible boat slips along the six-mile ship channel on the Cuyahoga River in Cleveland and offer new connections to parks and trails. The boat docks will be open during the 2023 boating season.
