Medina Swears In New Police Officer

MEDINA, OH - The City of Medina’s swore in a new police officer, Ryan Laskowski on Tuesday. He is a fourteen-year police veteran, having served in the Wooster Police Department and most recently in the Lakewood Police Department. He will officially begin in Medina on March 26.

Laskowski grew up in Parma and currently lives in Cuyahoga County. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Kent State University where he also graduated from the Kent State University Ohio Police Academy. As a lateral transfer, Laskowski will go through an abbreviated training period with Medina PD before patrolling on his own.

The addition of Laskowski brings Medina to thirty-nine officers; however, they are still looking to hire three more to be a full staff.
