Cinderella came out swinging to open March Madness as the 15th-seeded Princeton Tigers shocked the second-seeded Arizona Wildcats 59-55 in the first round. Tosan Evbuomwan led the Tigers in scoring with 15 points to go along with seven rebounds and four assists.
Number-13 Furman pulled off a massive upset against fourth-ranked Virginia in its first NCAA tournament appearance in 43 years. The Paladins trailed 67-65 with less than 10 seconds left to play until Virginia's Kihei Clark turned the ball over near half court.
