CSU Women's Basketball Team Wins Horizon League Championship

INDIANAPOLIS, IN--- The Cleveland State Women's basketball team have won the Horizon League championship and will advance to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2010, riding a 30 win historical season under head coach Chris Kielsmeier.

The Vikings were sparked by Gabriela Smith's 2nd half performance, she had high energy, and her 19 points helped big time too. Her main source of scoring would be 3 pointers, making 5 of her 7 attempts from behind the arc. Other stand-out individual performances included Destiny Leo who had a 13 point game, making all 7 of her free throws, and Brittni Moore who scored 14 points, shooting 50% from the field and 100% from the free throw line. The Vikings missed just one of their 23 free throws on the game.
