CSU Sees 5 Game Winning Streak Come To An End In Milwaukee With 81-72 Loss

MILWAUKKE, WI--- The Vikings seen their 5 game winning streak come to an end Saturday night with a 81-72 loss to the Milwaukee Panthers in Milwaukee. If the Vikings would've won, they would've shared the Horizon League Championship with Youngstown State.

The game started off very well for the Vikes, going on an 8-0 run, but then the story of the first half would start to be written as the Panthers would then go on an 8-0 run of their own and the two teams would be neck and neck for the rest of the first half. The Vikes spent almost 22 minutes in the lead while spending 17 minutes trailing in the game. The largest lead the Vikes had was 8, and that was from their 8-0 run to start the game.

In the second half, we would see Milwaukee take over the game with around 13 minutes left and not look back. CSU struggled big time in 2 areas, 3 point shooting, and a familiar foe free throw percentage. The Vikings were just 3-20 from behind the arc and 13-25 from the charity stripe. The Vikes were led by Tristan Enaruna with 24 points and Tae Williams with 21 points.

The Vikings will begin postseason play in the Horizon League Tournament as the 3 seed on Thursday night at 8 pm facing the highest remaining seed from the first round of the tournament taking place on Tuesday February 28th. The game will air on Fox Sports 1350 AM The Gambler, the free iHeartRadio app, or HERE
